The kids really love seeing the park service stock the lake
with rainbow. trout, and even get to touch the fish. The stocking this year at
Shawnee Mission Park will be Wednesday, October 24th at the boat
ramp around 3:45 p.m. If you’re able to take the kids, I’m sure they would
enjoy it. They’ll be stocking about 1,400 pounds of fish. After the stocking,
the lake is closed for fishing until that Saturday at 5:00 a.m. For more information, check out:
